On Sunday the 15th of February members of the community joined the committee for the unveiling of 3 historical plaques to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Wagon Shed opening on the 18th of February 2001. The building was constructed using funds from the 125th Anniversary of Walla Walla.
The 3 plaques were donated by the Walla Walla 150th Committee with proceeds from that celebration. The first plaque lists the names of the members of the Trek party, the second documents the journey and the last tells the story of the Walla Walla Station. A gold plaque was purchased by the Wagon Shed Committee to explain the significance of the three plaques listed. Noel Wilksch (150th vice chair), Selina Kohlhagen (Secretary) and Karla Lieschke (Treasurer unveiled the plaques. Julie Barber the Wagon Shed President read out a statement from 150th President Trevor Schroeter and acted as MC. Noel Wilksch also gave a speech.
The Wagon Shed was then opened to members of the public to have a look inside. Morning Tea followed with the Zion Congregation, members of the public and the committee.
